Franklin & Seidelmann Hires Healthcare Executive Larsen to Head New Marketing Initiative

CLEVELAND, OH—August 24, 2009—Franklin & Seidelmann (F&S), a leading, national full-service radiology interpretations provider, today announced that it has added Clayton T. Larsen, an executive from the healthcare equipment, software and services field to lead its new marketing initiatives. Larsen was appointed senior vice president of marketing at F&S; in this newly created role, he will oversee those activities for communicating the range of service offerings that provide its clients with the best in subspecialty reads for every examination.

"Clay's extensive career in advancing leadership in new areas of the medical industry is ideal for our leading position in the healthcare quality services field as it relates to radiology interpretations," stated CEO and President Scott Seidelmann. "Healthcare technology is rapidly evolving as advances in radiology imaging and industry economics converge to create new opportunities for improving patient care and operating efficiencies in both the outpatient and inpatient arenas. Clay will contribute greatly in defining our unique place in this budding market."

Most recently, Larsen spent time outside of the imaging industry with startup Flagship Global Health, which was focused on providing priority appointments with renowned and clinically acclaimed physicians. Prior to his tenure with Flagship, Larsen was a senior executive with FUJIFILM Medical Systems, where he was instrumental in the development, marketing and commercial release of Fuji's Synapse® Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS). Larsen introduced a number of key innovations at Fuji that were influential in changing the entire market in the way a PACS is purchased and deployed in the healthcare field.

Before his time at Fuji, Larsen served as vice president of new market development for Acuson Corporation, a leading ultrasound technology company that was later acquired by Siemens. From 1981-1988, he specialized in sales and marketing of ultrasound and nuclear medicine for Picker International. Larsen holds a bachelor's degree in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale University. He was previously presented with the International In Awe Award for Marketer of the Year by the Medical Marketing Association.
